Twin forest lakes and dune-field access off Wildwood Drive, 8 miles south.
This short trail system offers the option to circle two forest lakes or climb to the edge of the largest dune field on the Oregon Coast. The top of the dunes gives views of the lakes and ocean; from there, hikers can pick their way to the beach or join the adjacent John Dellenback Trail. Located 8 miles south of Reedsport on US 101; turn west onto Wildwood Drive across from the Tugman State Park signs, drive 0.75 miles to the gravel entrance, then 0.25 miles more to the lot. Distance: varies. Difficulty: Easy to Difficult. Parking is free; toilets at trailhead.
